Heidi has been a practicing physical therapist for more than 30 years in a variety of settings, including hospitals, with inpatient and outpatient care services,  contract services in home care and sub-acute rehabilitation, and long term sub-acute rehabilitation with a consistent outpatient referral network. She is an active adjunct faculty member in the Physical Therapy Program at Marquette University for the past 12 years. She now joins the staff at Advance Physical Therapy Services, LLC in order to provide skilled, compassionate, personalized, and motivated care to a wider patient population. It has always been a priority for Heidi to listen to clients so as to better understand the client’s story, to watch the client at rest and in movement, to personalize the best treatments and options available, as well as to educate the client in and throughout the rehabilitation process.

Having earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Marquette University, Heidi completed her transitional – Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree at Simmons University in Boston, and holds certifications in lymphedema therapy and exercise for the aging adult. Recognizing that human life and mobility is an evolution that can be facilitated or inhibited, it has been a great joy to apply knowledge, clinical skills, compassion, and encouragement to clients to help them advance in recovery from illness or injury, or educate and encourage wellness during and following the rehabilitation process. It remains a joy to participate in continuing education, maximize quality care, and apply progressing evidence based knowledge to client situations.

In addition to client based care, Heidi is active in education for physical therapy students as adjunct faculty, as clinical instructor to physical therapist interns, and as a supervisor/mentor providing clinic shadowing opportunities for prospective students. She is an active member of the WPTA and APTA since 1979.
