Work Injuries

Common Work Related Injuries

There are a number of work-related injuries that can be treated with physical therapy. Some of the most common injuries we treat everyday relate to the repetitive motions required when working at a computer station all day. Repetitive activities and lack of mobility can contribute to aches, pains, and  eventual injuries. Using the keyboard daily for hours at a time can result in poor circulation to joints and muscles, and create an imbalance in strength and flexibility of certain muscles.

Other common work-related injuries come from improper lifting and physical techniques. These can cause neck, shoulder, and back pain, and possibly even more serious injuries. Learning the proper way to lift and perform physical activities during the work day will help you minimize the risk of pain and injury.
